Job Description
Monitoring and analysing market trends to plan advertising campaigns.
Studying competitors' products and services.
Exploring ways of improving existing products and services, and increasing profitability.
Develop pricing strategies for products to be marketed, balancing the goals of a firm with customer satisfaction
Identifying target markets and developing strategies to communicate with them.
Work with department heads or staff to discuss topics such as contracts, selection of advertising media.
Preparing and managing marketing plans.
Liaising with other internal departments such as sales and distribution.
Producing reports to monitor results.
Inspect layouts, which are sketched or plans for an advertisement.
Initiate market research studies and presenting findings & suggestions to company directors or other senior managers.
Travelling to trade shows, conferences and sales meetings to provide marketing or technical advice, supporting and managing a marketing team.
Skills
Have knowledge of a wide range of marketing techniques and concepts.
Be an excellent communicator.
Be able to respond well to pressure.
Think creatively.
Work well in a team and with a wide range of people.
Be organised and methodical.
Be proactive and able to take the initiative.
