Job Description:
The accountant is responsible for carrying out the financial and accounting activities accurately and within the specified time frame, ensuring compliance. The accountant also supports financial planning and budget activities throughout the Dubai Government Information Office, and supports the monitoring of transactions, financial transactions and performance by providing accurate reporting within specified time frames. The accountant is also responsible for carrying out financial controls and cost control, supporting the continuity of the Dubai Government Information Office. The accountant shall carry out his duties in accordance with the relevant work policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
Participate in the preparation and implementation of the plans and budgets of the Department of Institutional Support, as required by institutional objectives
Working under the terms of reference of the Finance and Procurement Department and business procedures in order to achieve the highest performance standards
Ensure compliance with policies, institutional procedures and quality standards in the Finance and Procurement Division.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Financial Management, or Business Administration
Prefer a master's degree in accounting, financial management, or business administration
Prefer relevant certification in accounting (especially IFRS) such as ACCA, CPA, CMA or CFA.
Experience: At least one year in a similar job.
